Flower Children
Just like last year we planted a garden for the boys under their playhouse. This helps with the picking of my flowers and good for play. Today the boys each picked a flower and then Owen gave me one, which I of course put behind my ear. Owen wanted his that way too and he told me to help Aiden with his. They kept them there for the whole hour we were out. They were really cute.

Olympic Day
Owen's school hosted an Olympic Day where they participated in several athletic activities. I volunteered to help, and was assigned the soccer kick. Owen was very excited to see me there and looked like he had a wonderful time with his friends at the Olympics. These were all from my phone so the long shots not great, but I didn't want to haul the big camera around while doing the soccer part.

Puppet Show
I was putting away laundry when Owen wanted to climb in his hamper. We started upstairs with stuffed animals and then when Aiden woke he wanted me to carry it downstairs where Owen told us he had to put on a puppet show. He dumped a bunch of his little animals in the bottom and made them climb up and peek his hand out and tell me about the animal.

Sprinkler Streaking
Warning: Naked butts are pictured.
We did a lot of yard work this weekend on we finished Sunday afternoon off with watering all the gardens, this meant the kids flocked over to see the one tube spraying like a sprinkler. Owen was in heaven. He quickly started to run through the spray, which meant he wanted his shirt off and shortly after he pulled his pants off. Soggy wet undie Owen had a blast running through the water, diving into the sandbox and back to take a shower on top of the bike. Aiden enjoyed the water but in a more calm way. He got to take off his shirt as well because it got drenched quickly and Owen insisted he have his belly. Aiden would come to the edge where the spray was soft and then enjoyed watching his crazy brother and also play in the back behind the tree at the source of the sprinkler. Owen thought Aiden needed a sandy belly too so smeared some on him. As this was before naps the boys got hosed down; Owen loved it, Aiden dealt with it. To say the least Omer and I had many a good laugh watching our happy boys play half naked in the sprinkler.

Sprinkler Ball
So it has been in the upper 80s and even reached over 90 today, so I pulled the sprinkler ball out. Owen LOVED it, and ran around the ball getting nice and wet. Then he liked running up to the ball, getting sprayed and the running away. I was shocked that Aiden did not like it. He loves the water but for some reason the ball scared him. He would cling to me and if he got sprayed he'd cry. He did enjoy getting swung into the water. The sad part was Owen kept trying to get Aiden to run through the water with him, and Aiden would not oblige. "Come on Aiden, run quick, I'll hold your hand," Owen said. Aiden, "Wahhhh!" (pics were taken by phone and not sure why some came out super small, still learning it)
