Owen likes to play dinosaur games, like I am the dinosaur and he is the monkey and I search for him. He was hiding in his tree nest.

Downstairs
With the continuing rain and cooler weather it has taken the boys downstairs instead of outside. We always have lots of fun down there and so many different games to play.

Waiting for Christmas
Owen often listens to The Grinch on CD during rest time which means he gets in the Christmas mood. Today after rest time he wanted to play Santa and even got some bags out. He would fill the bags up and then make Aiden and I sleep and deliver the gifts. This is not an uncommon game for him.

Laughter, Smiles, Joy
This morning the three of us were just hanging out at home and ended up downstairs with the boys in no pants jumping, sliding, and the best, laughing and being brothers. To explain the pants, Aiden got his pants wet and I took them off which meant Owen took his off and then the real fun began. The boys had an amazing time together and of course I love watching them be brothers.
Picnic Sharing Water

Aiden Bounced on his Butt

The boys kept sitting in the chair together and Owen asked me to take a picture. They were squealing

Then Owen started to become a ham and wanted me to take pictures of everything he did. No worries I won't share all of them. He's hiding under the slide.

School Days
Owen started school and couldn't have been more excited. He talked about it for weeks and pretty much ran inside with only looking back to make sure his friend Johnny was coming too. He will be going three days a week and several of his close friends he met from last year are in his class again.
Very sad but I completely forgot my camera for meet and greet with teachers. Perfect opportunity to take lots of pictures of him in his class, so I took it this morning for his first real day of school and of course he was not interested in taking pictures, just wanted to get to class.
After four tries I gave up and this was our best shot. He was watching the kids get out of the cars. Off in his class to hang his bag

Report from Owen on his first day (which was intro 2 hour day): "I played with Addie and Johnny and a new friend, don't know his name", "Played with another Owen outside", "had goldfish and something else for snack," "I like my new teachers," "And I was a good boy with no timeout"...the last part cracked me up.
Report from his first full day: He played with Johnny and Addie, playing Tigger and Pooh. Played with a new boy. Played blocks. Held and wagged the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance. Ethan's birthday snack was cheesy popcorn, grapes and popsicles. Played with Owen on the playground again. Named B words and talked about Babies, with two B's. Made Bear projects.

Last Pool Day
Our pool is open the two weekends after Labor Day and I was hoping it would have been warmer for some pool time. With that said we have all enjoyed the cooler weather. Labor Day was cool so we didn't go and today was not that hot but it was sunny and our last chance to go this season. So off we went. The boys lasted almost an hour before getting to cold. We all had fun and not surprised but had the pool pretty much to ourselves. Two of Owen's friends came as well. I wanted to note how different both kids are in the pool after just these couple months. Owen is very comfortable in the water and enjoys practicing his swimming, diving under water, and of course general pool play. But in the past couple weeks he has finally started to jump off the side. Aiden is finally having fun playing in the big pool and is a little too comfortable. He insists on climbing down the ladder himself or turning around and scooting into water he can't touch at. Which means I am on guard the whole time and ready to catch him. He enjoys playing and walking on the stairs and loves to jump from the side and has just started to try to swim, kicks his feet and splashes his arms.
