Laughter, Smiles, Joy
This morning the three of us were just hanging out at home and ended up downstairs with the boys in no pants jumping, sliding, and the best, laughing and being brothers. To explain the pants, Aiden got his pants wet and I took them off which meant Owen took his off and then the real fun began. The boys had an amazing time together and of course I love watching them be brothers.

The boys kept sitting in the chair together and Owen asked me to take a picture. They were squealing

Then Owen started to become a ham and wanted me to take pictures of everything he did. No worries I won't share all of them. He's hiding under the slide.

School Days
Owen started school and couldn't have been more excited. He talked about it for weeks and pretty much ran inside with only looking back to make sure his friend Johnny was coming too. He will be going three days a week and several of his close friends he met from last year are in his class again.
Very sad but I completely forgot my camera for meet and greet with teachers. Perfect opportunity to take lots of pictures of him in his class, so I took it this morning for his first real day of school and of course he was not interested in taking pictures, just wanted to get to class.
After four tries I gave up and this was our best shot. He was watching the kids get out of the cars.

Report from Owen on his first day (which was intro 2 hour day): "I played with Addie and Johnny and a new friend, don't know his name", "Played with another Owen outside", "had goldfish and something else for snack," "I like my new teachers," "And I was a good boy with no timeout"...the last part cracked me up.
Report from his first full day: He played with Johnny and Addie, playing Tigger and Pooh. Played with a new boy. Played blocks. Held and wagged the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance. Ethan's birthday snack was cheesy popcorn, grapes and popsicles. Played with Owen on the playground again. Named B words and talked about Babies, with two B's. Made Bear projects.

Last Pool Day
Our pool is open the two weekends after Labor Day and I was hoping it would have been warmer for some pool time. With that said we have all enjoyed the cooler weather. Labor Day was cool so we didn't go and today was not that hot but it was sunny and our last chance to go this season. So off we went. The boys lasted almost an hour before getting to cold. We all had fun and not surprised but had the pool pretty much to ourselves. Two of Owen's friends came as well. I wanted to note how different both kids are in the pool after just these couple months. Owen is very comfortable in the water and enjoys practicing his swimming, diving under water, and of course general pool play. But in the past couple weeks he has finally started to jump off the side. Aiden is finally having fun playing in the big pool and is a little too comfortable. He insists on climbing down the ladder himself or turning around and scooting into water he can't touch at. Which means I am on guard the whole time and ready to catch him. He enjoys playing and walking on the stairs and loves to jump from the side and has just started to try to swim, kicks his feet and splashes his arms.

Ball Boy
From as far as I can remember Aiden has been a sporty little boy. He loves all balls and picks up on the sport activity very quickly. He had fun this morning getting all his sport gear out and trying them all out.
Kick and Goal!
LEGOS!
For many months now Owen has been quite into Legos. This of course makes Omer super happy. They sit at the table and build away and must be honest Owen is very creative in his vehicles and skilled at putting them together. He is always beyond proud of his creations. Once again sorry for quality but these are from my phone again.

Pool Party
This was on Labor Day weekend but I am just getting to posting these. Oops! It was a little chilly but the boys had fun anyways.

Playground Weather
The weather has been cooler and we are excited to be outside and not sweating. The boys have also really enjoyed going to our Fall playgrounds, ones we don't go to when too hot and sunny. Today we went to our neighborhood school playground, the boys had such a great time playing together and then our friends came and Owen and his buddies ran around playing their games and Aiden and his buddy toddled around. It was a great time. These again are all phone pictures so not the best.

Hand in Hand
The boys and I headed out to walk the dogs. This usually means they sit in the wagon, eat snack and "chat", while I pull them and walk the dogs. But depending on the route they like to get out and walk some. Today they wanted out early and on the sidewalk. We walked this way for about half of our loop. The problem though was I can't hold hands across the street while pulling a wagon and two leashes, so Owen took Aiden's hand and helped him cross the street. Then Aiden insisted on continuing to hold his brother's hand all the way down the street. It of course made me warm and fuzzy inside.

Mud Jumping
The sprinklers were on the new trees when the one near the playground unhooked and made a perfect sized mud puddle for the boys. Sadly the camera was all the way upstairs so the phone camera was pulled out, but of course it is slow and the boys are fast so it is all a blur but still had to share.
They would slide...

Aiden's Words
For several months Aiden only had about 8 words. In the past month he has increased that to 30 and more each day. I thought it would be fun to try to capture some of his first words into a little compilation. As I started this a week ago, he has just kept adding word after word.
