Simple Moments

As a mom I live for the simple moments and the joy that those moments bring me. This morning was one of those days. We met our good friends at Frying Pan Farm and of course the norm happened, the kids checked out all the animals, made their sounds, petted them, etc. But then we went a different route and just took a leisurely walk down a path at the back of the farm. The kids enjoyed just exploring. Tiffany and I were far back with the little ones when we looked up and Owen and Addie were sitting so sweetly on a horse jump. It was one of those simple moments.

Our big tree in the back has started to drop some leaves. This afternoon Owen announced that we need to rake a pile so they could jump. So we all worked together and made a small pile of leaves and so the fun begins...

Marker Boys

Let me set the scene, the boys got some new special markers and I left to get something upstairs. I might have been gone for only a couple minutes when I return I find both boys without their shirts coloring all over their bellies and also coloring each other. Then they started to run around the house and Owen called them "Marker Boys". Not sure what special power that super hero would have, but it was colorful and funny.

Room Play

Both boys like to go up to their rooms and play together. Often I am not allowed and the door is closed. This is absolutely adorable to me and very helpful as I get little chores done while they are in there. Today, Owen asked Aiden to go to his room while I was making dinner. I had to check as there was a lot of noise. And this is what I found...

With the continuing rain and cooler weather it has taken the boys downstairs instead of outside. We always have lots of fun down there and so many different games to play.

Owen likes to play dinosaur games, like I am the dinosaur and he is the monkey and I search for him. He was hiding in his tree nest.

Aiden always loves to join in and get hide as well.

Owen often listens to The Grinch on CD during rest time which means he gets in the Christmas mood. Today after rest time he wanted to play Santa and even got some bags out. He would fill the bags up and then make Aiden and I sleep and deliver the gifts. This is not an uncommon game for him.
