Thanks for posting Kim. This video gave me chills and touched my heart in ways I can't explain.

Puzzles, Two Way
After early wake-ups this morning from both boys, and four straight of no nap for Owen, we just stayed home and enjoyed a really chill morning. Owen wanted to do his puzzle book which of course meant Aiden wanted to join in so I got him one he could do. A 3.5 year old and an almost 1 year old do puzzles very differently.

Big Boy
The second child grows up so much faster than the first because he has that preschooler showing him all day everything to do. Also he has the big boy stuff around. Prime example Aiden has a kid table to climb up on the chair, Owen did not until he was 18 months. Also every night before bath Aiden walks over, climbs the stool and asks for his toothbrush. It is just too cute. Our baby is definately growing up quick.

Birthday Cake
So starts the season of Owen's friends birthday's. We went to Brady's this weekend and he had a construction themed cake that Owen was in love with. He talked about it a lot and then this morning he asked if he could make a birthday cake. I told him it wasn't his birthday and that I didn't have icing. He responded with why not just a cake then and told me we had icing from the Christmas cookies. He was right, we did. So I made a chocolate chip pound cake and made a little cake for Owen to decorate it. He was very excited to put his dump truck on and of course eat it. So sorry about the pictures, but our camera is at the shop getting fixed and my camera on my phone stinks.

First Hair Cut
I know I let Owen go too long before cutting his hair. He really had started getting a mullet. So when Aiden's hair started to get a little too long in the back, we knew it need to be cut before the mullet appeared. It still makes me sad to cut my babies hair for the first time. I had already had Owen's hair lady scheduled so she just did it. Aiden did great, sat in the big chair very still just chewing on a toy. Even though he honestly doesn't have that much hair, I was surprised how much came off and how much more of a boy he looks now.

Airplane Museum
We thought it would be nice to a special activity with just Owen. We used to all the time and for apparent reasons he does not get much one on one with both of us. He was VERY excited this morning when I told him the three of us were going to the Airplane Museum, and Babaanna was staying with Aiden. We had a wonderful time. We also did the simulator, Owen and I did the airplane, while Omer did the fighter pilot. In my opinion so not worth the money. Very lame and barely moves, but it was nice to sit in there with just Owen hugging me and holding my hand. Very sweet.

We walked in, Owen took his coat off and then full speed ahead.
On the ramp down, we were on the top section. Owen befriended the other little boy for the first portion.

Omer had fun taking some pictures and some more artistic ones.
In the beginning there are a ton of motors that Owen and the other boy called robots. So every machine like item was a robot to Owen. He was telling me about the HUGE robot.

OUTSIDE!!!
The past couple weeks it has been very cold and windy. Our family does not mind the cold so much but the wind bothers all. We went out to the playground a couple weeks ago when it was 35 but since then it has been in the 20s or below. Well today it got up to 50. WooHoo! We of course spent most of our day outside and all enjoyed the fresh air and new play.

Stacking and Sorting
It is no secret that Aiden is excelling on the physical development; he is full on walking now, climbed stairs and could pull himself up on a kid chair around 6 months, now he can also get himself up on a sofa. But he is also working those brain cells and mentally developing too. The past month he has really started to enjoy trying to stack items, figure out the blocks and loves to put stuff in anything really. I love watching those little brains at work, cute faces.
