So for the past months Owen has known that these were his last
suckies and once broken they were gone. Well this week his last
suckie was finished so we chose on Friday to cut the tip and no more
suckies. The deal was make it a day and we'd take the
suckies to buy a couple toys at Toys R Us. This was great incentive for Owen and during rest time he gave me the
suckie and let me cut the tip. We also got him a Music Dog to replace
suckie at bedtime.
Aiden got one for Christmas last year and ever since Owen wanted one. It has helped. Being limited to just rest time, the day time has been completely fine, but this is how the nights have gone:
Friday: He went right to sleep with no problem, woke 4 times at night but was easily put back to sleep.
Saturday: Went right to sleep and didn't wake up at all
Sunday: Then daylight savings and a stuffy nose happened. Went to sleep pretty easily and woke up about 8 times. More difficult to settle because of the bothersome nose.
Monday & Tuesday: About the same, pretty easy to fall asleep but then up a lot at night and more difficult to settle. However, he has barely asked about his
suckie.
The stuffy nose is pretty much gone but of course always worse at night so here is hoping for a good night sleep, because Owen is
definitely tired from all the night waking and some early mornings. He was so tired today that during the wagon ride walking the dogs Owen fell asleep.

Overall the process hasn't been terrible, we just got hit with bad timing. But we are proud at how well he has adapted and hopefully the sleep will get better soon.
