Avon Breast Cancer Walk

Earlier this year my brother asked if I would like to do the Avon Breast cancer Walk with him; he had done it last year. I signed right up. With a close friend fighting breast cancer right now I wanted to do what I could.

It was an amazing experience and one I will remember forever sharing with my brother and sister. I thank all those that contributed in helping me be able to participate in the event. The DC walk raised $5 million and you helped in that and in supporting facilities and research for breast cancer.

The walk was 39 miles in 2 days around DC and into Maryland. It was a beautiful walk with perfect weather; even the 1 hour of rain was much welcomed. I saw so many that have been touched by this disease that touched my heart and will stick with me forever. Reaffirmed why I wanted to walk and help fight breast cancer. The stories, pictures, sayings and people made me cry, laugh, feel powerful and happy.
