The end of the month has been very sunny and mild and with the looming hurricane and cooler weather on its way we soaked it all up.
This is one of my favorite times of the year and love the views around me while I run or walk the dogs.
My sweet Owen came home from school and wanted to make Halloween cards for "just kids around the neighborhood". He spent quite some time, coloring, cutting, decorating envelopes and attaching candy on each. Then after dinner he and I went out to deliver. There was no real game plan but worked out wonderfully and he made lots of his neighborhood friends very happy. He was so proud of himself.
Owen has always enjoyed playing with his stuffies. One night he he gathered the ones we "adopted" and gave them a picnic. This game was played about 4 times more in the next couple days including his faithful helper, Aiden.
We got Boo'ed this year so the boys and I set out to BOO some of their friends. The boys loved it and were all into being sneaky. They would sneak up, leave the bag, knock on the door and then sprint to get in the getaway van.
We faired the hurricane just fine. Enjoyed the lazy two days at home and have just been playing, watching some TV and cuddling. For safety we camped out downstairs which the boys loved. Owen remembers this from the last time and immediately asked if we could again. A nice rainy day of Firefighters vs Zombies was a big hit today.
