School Halloween Parade

The boys school holds a Halloween parade for all the classes. It is so cute to see all the kids and our kids love seeing us at their school.

Little Cowboy

If you have not guessed the boys play an insane amount of dress-up and pretend play. This morning Aiden put on his cowboy gear and rode his horse. Then Owen made his a lasso and they were trying to catch animals.

Girls Weekend in Austin

A close friend of mine, Megan, moved to Austin this past April. Me and the girls were excited to get away for a weekend and visit her in Austin. I had a blast and love Austin. I would honestly consider moving there is there were actual seasons. I enjoyed a nice run, some down time chatting and watching TV, good sleep, excellent food, awesome shops, hike to a cliff with an amazing view, a concert, a meeting with Paula Dean, and strolling around downtown at night, and well much more. It was a nice break away from the daily grind.

Paula Dean sat down at the table next to us. We all lit up, and of course I had to go over and say hi. She asked if we wanted a picture. Yes!

We loved this building; picture does not do it justice.
Food Trucks!
Mass of people deciding which truck to eat at.
I loved how many people bring their dogs; Austin is super pet friendly.

Super Hero Spotting

The boys dressed up as Wolverine and Spiderman to walk to the playground. They are so adorable; and when we picked up their friend he of course dressed as Spiderman as well and played superhero style at the playground.

On the way back the boys explored the digger that was left by the pond to fix some damage from the flood.

Pumpkin Festival

Finally a non-raining weekend so we headed to Ticonderoga Farm for the Pumpkinville. As always at these events we had a blast. Really good family moments. Sadly our camera was messed up so we were able to get a handful and then on our phones. The boys played in the playgrounds, went on the big slides, fed the animals, got face painted, went in the Spooky House, went on the longest suspension bridge in VA, rode the hay ride and picked pumpkins, rode the cow train, went through the bamboo maze, and so much fun with many more activities. Owen hurt himself on the bounce pillow so he was out of commission for a little but luckily his knee started to feel better and we continued with our fun.

Then we had lunch and I saw they offered a turkey leg, I had to get it for Omer. But Aiden was eyeing it so he gave it a try. The leg was as big as his head but he went after it like a pro. Owen and I looked in disgust.

Aiden kept asking for another bite. He would actually tear the pieces off.
