Bunny Bonanza

Heritage Farm Museum hosted a Bunny Bonanza and it was a lot of fun but very crowded. It was hard to get great pictures while making sure both kids are in eye view and getting around all the people.

Both boys loves watching the baby chicks.
Aiden kept pointing and say "das?"
They played in the general store. Owen was buying some stuff from the girl.
Lots of bunnies to look at. Owen was talking to the bunny and Aiden was trying to look up to see.
Owen enjoyed petting lots of bunnies. Aiden did as well but couldn't take a picture while holding him.
A big hit was the chicken coop. Aiden enjoyed closing the ramp.

Aiden explored many old famous machines.
Back to the baby chicks.

Aiden ran around as always
Owen found the one station with some bugs.
Then Owen put on a puppet show for Aiden and me.

Then Owen and Aiden were playing peek-a-boo through the puppet farm.
Owen took Aiden on a tractor adventure, as he called it.
Then seriously for the next 15 minutes Owen "worked" on the tractors. His hands were coated with grease.
Hard at work and so cute.
Little brother grabbed a stick and started to copy his brother and work too.
Banging on the wheel
Owen still working
Owen could have cared less about the Easter Bunny but Aiden was fascinated.

Backyard Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter egg hunt we had signed up for this weekend was cancelled for both days due to wet grounds. Owen has been talking about the egg hunt for about two weeks so we decided to have one in our backyard. We attempted to invite friends to have a full on event but most everyone had plans already so we just did it the four of us. Owen kept saying, "I am so excited!" And you couldn't out there quick enough. As all previous years Owen was a champion egg hunter. Aiden truly could have cared less. And I think grabbed two eggs, put one in the basket and enjoyed running around outside shaking the eggs. It was great family fun!

Natural History Museum

We haven't been to the Natural History Museum in a long time and have missed it. Owen has asked several times to go to the "dinosaur museum". This morning our plans were cancelled and we decided to just head up. It was a pretty successful trip minus the drive back, but it was worth to see their amazed faces once again. This was Aiden's first trip, and he really enjoyed all to see. And Owen as always loved the ocean hall and the insects the best. We started at the mammal hall but sadly no pictures because Omer dropped us off while he found parking, so no time to pull the camera out while keeping up with two excited boys. It was a great family outing as always.

More Insect Watching
By far the best part was Owen getting to hold the insects. One of his favorites is grasshoppers and these type don't hop often so it happily just hung out on his hand and climbed up his arm a little. Owen was is heaven and even told the scientist how the grasshopper liked him and wanted to stay.
Insect Lover
He is so great and held his hand super still and petted them very gently.

Then we got to hold a catepillar that tickled so much and was super soft.
