Sun and Leaves

It has been raining here pretty much nonstop for the past week, but today the sunshine came out. WooHoo! We were all excited to get outside and play in the yard. Pretty much all the leaves have fallen, so we got to rake big piles of leaves and then have a ton of fun. I actually enjoy raking leaves so I did pretty much all of it. And I have to say please excuse my outfit, I had just gotten back from running the hike.

Owen grabbed his rake but then didn't really want to rake. He told me to get to work.

Owen sat in the pile and we thought it would be great to have both sitting there, but Aiden had different plans. Leaf Pile Owen What is better than running through leaf piles?

He got me a couple times too.

Weekend Gym

JW Tumbles had free play this weekend. I have only ever been there once and Owen left sweating he had such a good time. So we decided to head over there for some family fun at the gym. Owen had a ton of fun running around, tumbling, sliding and being goofy. But he had the most fun when he met a girl that wanted to play. They had a fabulous time together. Aiden enjoyed chasing after the balls, going down slides and climbing over everything. It was a great time and Omer enjoyed getting to experience some of my week activities.

Leaf Piles

There is nothing more fun than running through a leaf pile. This one was at Omer's parents house this past weekend. Hopefully soon the rain will stop so we can make leaf piles at home for the boys to enjoy.

At the Window

Aiden loves the outside and often enjoys to stand at the door. I think he enjoys just watching what is going on out there also and gets so excited when he sees one of the pups. He usually gives them a big laugh and bounce.

Reenactment

Owen has been very into reenacting situations. I love to hear how the story plays out and sometimes learn a lot of information about his day or experience this way. He very often reenacts something from school whether it be drop off line, or book, or song. This evening while I was making dinner he took his cars (aka classmates), put coats on them (play-doh), and then hung the coats up and then the cars went to play.

Hayride

One of my favorite parts of Fall is hayrides. I know corny, but I just love to snuggle with my family on top of hay and be pulled around by a tractor. Well the church where Owen's school is held a Fall Festival. It was pretty empty when we got there so we got a hayride all to ourselves. We also enjoyed some moon bounce fun and a couple other activities.

Pumpkin Bird Feeder

My neighborhood's playgroup got together to make pumpkin bird feeders. It was a great way to use your old pumpkin's from Halloween. We met at the park and this was Owen's first time meeting many of the kids as we just joined, but he had a great time. After making the feeders Owen had the most wonderful time playing chase with one of the girls.

Beginning Steps

I have not promoted the early walking for Aiden. He has been cruising furniture for quite some time and if he was older I would have pulled the push toy out earlier, but honestly I really don't want him to walk so young. But against my best efforts he is going to anyways. He started to push his caterpillar toy by walking behind it, so I figure I should just bring the push toy out. He took right to it, and started to walk behind it. No time at all to figure it out, just went. Through the day he can lift it up and tries to turn it. The funny part is when he gets tired, the push toy goes a little too fast for him. Aiden is beyond excited about his new skill. This morning he went back and forth across the room about 10 times. He does get very frustrated when he gets stuck. It is only a matter of time before he is running behind Owen.
