Fall Walk

The boys, dogs and I took a wonderful walk through the paths in our neighborhood. It was absolutely gorgeous out today, with the majority of leaves in fall hues, and leaves sprinkled on the path. When we got to our normal turn spot to head home, Owen declared we needed to go down the other path because we hadn't seen that for a million years. The boys had fun running and crunching leaves, sitting in leaves, watching the creek, etc. And then when we turned back to walk home they wanted to walk the pups. The dogs are so great when the kids take over the leashes. It makes my heart melt and my face glow. It was really cool to see Owen really take charge, when a lady was passing us he pulled Chloe to the side, started to wind up her leash, just like I do. Then when he was walking Chester and the leash would get under his legs, Owen would stop, lift Chester's leg and fix the leash. What a little observer and such a big kid now. We walked for over an hour and had one of those mornings that I will never forget. Took these with my phone as our long walk was not a planned thing, and happy to say most came out pretty well.
