Christmas in Full Swing

This month has been of course filled with Christmas; decorating, crafts, activities, tree cutting, lights and more lights outside, and decor all around the house. We have been enjoy the festivities and joy this time brings. Along with some unseasonably warm weather, we have been enjoying lots of time with friends outside.

Owen's class celebrates each child for a whole week. Owen finally got his turn and wow was he excited. Among many other items, he got to bring something in to share. No surprise that he wanted to bring in Beardy. It went great. Owen was so proud and really taught everyone about bearded dragons and answered all the many, many questions. The class even took turns touching and looking at Beardy up close. Beardy did a fabulous job with all the activity as well.

Because of a broken bike, we got the boys new bikes as an early Christmas gift. Owen is very good at his big boy bike and loves biking to school every day. Aiden got a Batman big wheel and he is beginning to learn how to make it go. It is sweet to watch. Tonight though the boys got in their costumes and took their Batmobile around for a ride with the Dynamic Duo.

The day after Thanksgiving we spent decorating the house and outside. We also have a little Christmas tree that we set up in the playroom. The boys enjoyed decorating their tree with lots of ornaments they made.

Aiden had his first babysitting job. We watched Baby Carson for a couple hours and it was adorable to watch Aiden be the older boy. Luckily Carson is a very easy going baby and enjoyed watching Aiden. Aiden was trying to teach him how to say "Mama" and also played peek-a-boo.

We spent the morning with our family friends, the Severtson's, at the Farm for some crafts, animals, wagon rides, delicious kettlecorn and donuts, and a visit with Santa. Tiffany is a professional photographer so we got lucky and she shared some of her awesome pictures.

Aiden, what a face!

Afterwards we headed to the tree farm to chop down our Christmas tree. The boys enjoyed walking in the fields and picking the fattest tree possible.

It was touch and go but we decorated the tree. The boys after a short amount of time wanted to race around the house instead. But they did help decorate in the beginning, and after they calmed down Owen came back and finished decorating with me.

Yes they are in short sleeved shirts in December. It was warm today and actually several days. Even though we are all waiting lots of snow, we are enjoying the outdoor time. At the playground there was a huge pile of fresh dirt. Wow did they and their friend's, Owen and Sadie, have the best time.

Omer and I went out for the evening to his work's holiday party. They had a photo booth with dress up hats, glasses, wigs, etc. It was a lot of fun. Here are our pictures from the party.
