Fun in the Lights

We have been enjoying all the fesitivties that come with Christmas season. Some new acitivities this year, most shown below, but we also went caroling per Owen's request. It was pretty fun, as much can be with two boys. They practiced at home and were wonderful, in the car between stops, wonderful again. But then they would get to the door and freeze. Either sing very softly or hide, Aiden more so. Owen for the most part stood and sung nicely, they each even had a solo. Overall it was cute and lots of fun.

The boys got to watch one of my favorite's, Home Alone. They enjoyed it but think they enjoyed making traps in our house afterwards.

Meadowlark Gardens lit up their whole gardens with a breath-taking amount of lights. It was spectacular. Babaanna joined us for our walk through the lights. There was even a huge lighted music show. The kids and well us to loved it and even went through twice.

Grandma to came for a visit and we decided to give ice skating a try. I have to preface with none of us adults have ever been that much so not superb. I have only been 2 times before this one. With that said it was a ton of fun. The boys and us did really well. I took Aiden for the most part and I would hold his hands and skate him around with his feet barely touching and then spin him around. When we would take breaks he would fall on purpose announcing that falling was his favorite part. Omer and Owen were a success. At first Omer had to really hold Owen up but near the end he only need one hand to help guide him. Grandma made it around two times some on the wall, as we were all hugging that wall at points, but was great help and took some pictures for us. We will definitely go ice skating again.

Afterwards we stopped by the hotel there to check out the Gingerbread house display. It is always so lovely. Grandma took them to the top of the stairs to get a top view. Sad the picture did not come out that well, and for that matter that we did not get more with her, we always forget to take pictures.

Owen had the idea of going on a bear hunt for bones for his new Tasmanian Devil stuffed animal we "adopted". Aiden wanted to tag along. So off I took the boys and the pups for a hike. It was a ton of fun. We hiked over the rocky side where the bear "lives" and found some bear "bones", one actually looks like a bear claw.

Owen's family project for school was to decorate with all their families hands and then include some of your traditions. Owen had the idea to make our hands into a Christmas tree and put sticker ornaments on them. I loved it! We had so much decorating together.

After Owen decided he wanted to wrap some gifts to give to his whole class. This boy can be so sweet!!! He wrapped his first picture he drew of Beardy, I was a little sad to see this go, but he wanted to. Then he wrapped a coloring book. He was so proud and happy to deliver them to all his class. The Beardy picture his hanging on the wall in the class at the house center. And the coloring book was used every morning for each child to pick one picture to color. Proud of our giving child.

Aiden got out of school many days before Owen, and he was so happy to just have to time to play with me, his sweet beautiful baby mommy as he likes to call me. :)  We have been having a great time and enjoying the warm blast we got.

Callie and Chester love when we are out back and were playing like puppies.

My Smiley Chester

Look Callie actually stopped moving for a moment. She is so pretty!

Aiden, yes still in his pjs, put his race hat and gloves on and raced his dump truck around. He would go around the tree and then fall in the dirt. It was adorable.

This kid is ADORABLE....and it is the sweetest when he says the word adorable.

While Owen was at a school friend's house with many of his buddies decorating cookies, I had a couple of Aiden's best buddies over to decorate and play. They each decorated one cookie with enough icing for a dozen. HA!! Then they played and played and then I had the mom's over for a nice lunch. it worked great, the kids kept playing so we could have adult time.

Love the joy in his face. We were racing our animals.

I saved some of our cookies for Owen to decorate as well. He is so careful and meticulous. Love watching him work. He made about 6 or so, but I really liked his snowflake.

Owen gave Omer and me his gift from school early. It is a pinch pot he made. I can not tell you how excited I was to receive this. It is one of those moments in parenting I looked forward to. Love it and is holding my special jewelry.

Both boys and well us too are enjoying some chill time at home together. The boys have stayed in their pjs the majority if not all day. Owen was very busy building a scene out of Lego's to go in front of our tree. I loved it and loved that he wanted to build one for the family.

Sadly with all being at home and the excitement of Christmas the crazy boys crashed it the next day and it now lies in pieces in the Lego bin. Oh well, we got to enjoy it for a day.
