The Joy of Snow

I can not put into words how excited Owen and yes me too were when it started to snow. Owen and I had an awesome time playing in the snow, total about 3 hours since lunch. Aiden enjoyed it for about 30 mins and then decided he wanted to go inside. His hands get cold and just can't take it. Owen however wanted to do everything related to snow, but we were disappointed that it was not good snow for snowballs or Frosty, but hopefully next time.

Of course there was some snow eating
Well lots of snow eating

Dump Truck Snow was Tasty
The pups enjoy snow sticks

Owen went to go fill up the dump truck
Then Aiden went in for nap and Owen and I discovered that there was ice on the sandbox. So we made an ice rink
Owen loved sliding around
Then of course he had to explore and found a leaf "fossil"
Belly Slides
Off to make snow angels

Chloe loves the snow and waits to catch a snowball
Not Chester's favorite and chews snowballs off his paws
Then after nap we headed to our sitter Meghan's house because she had made cookies for the boys. And she has a small hill to sled. Owen had a blast and went sledding on his own (remember last year he would only ride with me). He carried the sled back up, hopped on and down he went. Aiden enjoyed it a couple times until a neighbor dog stole his cookie and yes his hands got cold. Then I had to hold him most the time.
Meghan and Owen had snowball fight with some tackling
Throwing Snowball
Meghan got Owen
Off to sled, Aiden was trying to give Owen a push down
Down the Hill
Weeeeee!
Sledding Fun
Then we headed to our streets big hill, it is pretty large and steep in some spots. I was shocked no one else was there because it was perfect sledding. Owen went down by himself. I went down with Aiden and then we all three went together. But poor Aiden had enough so we headed back with a slightly disappointed Owen and well me too. But we had an early dinner and Omer came home a little early so Owen and I could go back out and sled some more. Night time sledding is the best mainly with all the Christmas lights. We had so much fun and Owen used his nighttime imagination and pretended we were astronauts searching for different planets based on the path our "rocket ship" took. The joy of snow!
