One Good, One Bad

That was our weekend. I guess you can't win them all.

The Good Day - Saturday:
All woke at normal time. Had a chill basic morning and then headed off to Owen's friend Marley's birthday party. We all had a great time there. It was steaming so Owen got super sweaty from all the running around he did with some friends he has not seen in a long time. Then back home for some naps and then off to the pool. Omer and Owen headed to the pool first while I waited for Aiden to wake and feed. Then we met them over there and left them there until dinner. (Mommy's always have other stuff we have to do - boo!) The pool was a lot of fun and Owen really is starting to get more comfortable in the water. He allowed us to take him around the deep water and by the end he was jumping off the side to Omer and then using the ladder to climb out. Then the basic evening and a pretty easy bedtime. The night was very nice too, only a handful of wake-ups and only one feeding by Aiden.

The Bad Day - Sunday:
Started by Aiden waking at 6:00, too early! Then right when we piled into the car to go to Redskins training camp it began to rain. But we had one excited boy in the car so we took the gamble and hoped it would stop. Well it did but man was it a disappointment. First, poor Aiden fell asleep in the car but I had hoped I could put him the carrier and keep asleep or get him back to sleep. Nope I was wrong, he was completely wide awake. Ugh! Then we got down to the field and Owen was mildly excited for maybe a minutes. Seriously he could have cared less. As much as he has talked and acted out football in the past week, we were sure he was going to love it. We hung out for about 20 minutes and then headed back where Owen and Daddy looked for bugs (a complete obsession now) while I fed Aiden and then back home. At least we now know not to throw off bedtime and Omer and Owen going to a football game. I think we are still a year away from that. Owen was just in a mood all day so nothing really seem to go well. The second half was much better but still not our favorite. Too top it off, we gave Aiden a bottle of soy formula at 5:30, which he took great (not weening just trying to get him to take a bottle again) but at 8:30 he threw it all up. This happened one other time but we thought it was from another reason but I am beginning to believe he is allergic to soy. He was throwing up off an on until 10:00 and sleeping on me in between. Then because his tummy hurt so much he fed every two hours. He seems to be doing much better today. We are very happy they day is over and hope for a better day tomorrow.

Owen watched the football players for about 10 minutes, then got bored.
