Nightmares

Owen has a very impressive imagination and with that usually comes nightmares. Owen has experienced nightmares off and on since he was about 18 months old, but they seem to be bothering him a lot more now. After a lot of wake-ups and very early mornings, I got Owen to finally tell me why. He said "The dinosaurs roared and woke me before 7:00." I explained to him about bad thoughts but also read once that lots of 3 year olds will stop if you put a sign on the door. I gave it a shot, and it has been about three days and seems to be working. We made the sign together, and talked about how the dinosaurs won't come in because the sign is up. He also taped it on his door, and when he passes it says "Stop dinosaurs stop!"
